Peterborough Athletics Concussion Awareness (PACA)
PACA functions in two domains: Schools and Sport. In schools, PACA Together represents a moment in time where every student in the Peterborough area will learn about concussions while also sharing their own experiences with the injury. In a sport context, PACA Together symbolizes the community and sport organizations coming together to educate local athletes through leading-edge video series and workshops that culminate in an individualized sports organization-wide concussion awareness campaign.
PACA’s Overall Purpose: Increase awareness of concussions to Peterborough athletes in an effort to positively contribute to the Removal, Prevention, Management, and Recognition of concussions in sport. This website aims to help athletes, parents, coaches, sport administrators, school teachers, and administrators learn more about concussions through education, resource sharing, awareness, and more!
